For those NGers who might have missed it, here's the thread....

Unless you currently have an active story on NG, you can forget about ever posting one on the General forum ever again.
(For those NGers who enjoy my story threads, I will be allowed to continue to post chapters until "A little ghost story" comes to an end). So, a bit of good news.
From now on, all Writers on NG must post their stories on their User page. I see this as a bad idea for a number of reasons. The main one being, less exposure for those who are good at writing stories. Despite a number of so-called benefits to this new restriction, it boils down to having your story buried in one tiny corner of NG; your User page..... where hardly anyone is likely to see it.
The so-called benefits? Tiny, in comparison to having other NGers see your story thread on the General forum. With the obvious disadvantage that new NGers are not likely to visit random User pages. On General, they are more likely to see your story, and comment after you bump your story thread with a new chapter..... I received a PM from a relatively new NGer just a couple of days ago. All I'll say is that, had my previous stories been buried in my User page, this individual would never have found them and would never have gotten the enjoyment that they provided him.
And that's why I post my stories. For the enjoyment of my small group of loyal Readers..... A small group that is not likely to grow any bigger. New NGers who love a good story are going to be shit out of luck when it comes to finding good stories from the handful of talented Writers on NG. I don't write just for the sake of doing so. I do it for those who enjoy a good story. (Had my first feature-length story on NG failed miserably, I would never have posted a 2nd one. Plain & simple).
Not sure what I will do once "A little ghost story" comes to an end. Perhaps I'll post my stories on a different site, and just come to NG for mindless fun only. While I don't want to abandon my loyal Readers..... some of whom, ironically, are Mods. I also seriously don't want to bury one of my stories on my User page. To be honest, I find the idea of posting stories on one's User page (rather than on General) as a convenient way for the Mods not to have to deal with such threads. Part of me can understand why...... Far to many talent-less morons who have no clue what the following words mean: Sentence structure, Plot, Theme, Character developement, Spell-check..... And yet, they make story threads anyway! Apparently, there's a shitload of delusional NGers who like to pretend that they're Writers. Basically, they fucked it up for everyone!
So, I would like to hear from other NGers (especially those who enjoy a good story) as to suggestions and comments for the best way for me to continue to entertain my loyal Readers..... Especially considering that posting on General is verboten. I hate the idea of posting stories on my User page. It would make me feel like some sort of freak, being allowed to do what makes him happy..... in a small, deep, dank, dark corner of NG where no one is likely to see his work.
Still, if enough NGers comment or PM me with requests to continue to write on NG, on my User page. I'm willing to perhaps reconsider my decision not to post stories on my User page. Simply put, I write for the enjoyment of others. When you guys enjoy one of my stories, it puts a smile on my face. As such, my unfortunate exchange with Sarai, on the above-mentioned thread, made me realize it would be selfish of me to just cut off my loyal Readers from future stories. So let me know what you think! Continue to post on NG after my current story is done? Yay or Nay. Comments and PMs welcomed.
